NEW DAIRY PRINCESS CROWNED

Eva Taylor of Point Reyes Station Selected as District 2 Dairy Ambassador

PETALUMA, Calif. – April 29, 2026 – Eva Taylor of Point Reyes Station was selected as the 2026 Dairy Princess for the California Milk Advisory Board’s (CMAB) District 2 in a crowning event on Saturday, April 25, 2026. Kaelin Bidia of Valley Ford was selected as the Alternate Dairy Princess.

Eva and Kaelin will represent District 2, which includes Lake, Marin, Mendocino, Napa, Solano, and Sonoma counties. As Dairy Princess and alternate, they will play a key role on the CMAB’s Communications Services team in meeting community relations objectives.

Eva is the daughter of John and Karen Taylor and a senior at Tomales High School. She has grown up on her family’s dairy. Eva has held several officer positions for the Tomales Future Farmers of America chapter and has received numerous awards during her time in the program. Her freshman year she was a member of the Dairy Judging team. After graduation, she plans to attend a four-year university and major in Agriculture Business or Agricultural Education with plans to become an Ag Teacher.

Crowned Alternate Dairy Princess, Kaelin is the daughter of Jim Bidia and Dani Bidia. Kaelin is a Junior at Tomales High School. She resides on a local dairy farm and has shown dairy heifers through her 4-H club. As a freshman she was on the Tomales Future Farmers of America Dairy Judging Team and currently serves as Chapter Reporter. She plays Varsity softball and volleyball and is an active member in her community volunteering for the Sonoma County Farm Bureau and the Shoreline Harvest Festival. Kaelin plans to pursue a degree in Agricultural Education or Agricultural Law.

Candidate Mari Suazo of Sonoma won the Isolena Maestretti “Miss Vitality” Award which includes a scholarship. The Florence Gilardoni Scholarship, presented by the North Bay Dairy Women, was awarded to candidate Lucia Nosecchi of Petaluma.

As Dairy Princess and Alternate, Eva and Kaelin will attend a professional development training focused on presentation skills, advocating for the California dairy industry, leadership, and business etiquette. Kaelin will assist Eva in her duties, which include speaking on behalf of the California dairy industry to various audiences throughout the year.

Candidates were judged on speaking ability, education, dairy background, poise, and personality. Judges for the contest were Marit Arana; A.L. Gilbert Company Head of Nutrition Department, Crystal Diamante; Miss Latina Wine Country Founder, and Linda Teixeira; District 4 CMAB Dairy Princess Committee Chair.
