HANFORD, Calif. – June 11, 2026 – Eva Gomes of Tulare was selected as the 2026 Dairy Princess for the California Milk Advisory Board’s (CMAB) District 5. The contest was held on Saturday, June 6, 2026, in Hanford.
Eva will represent District 5, which includes Kings, Fresno, Madera, Tulare, Inyo, and Mono counties. As Dairy Princess, she will play a key role in meeting CMAB’s community relations objectives.
Eva, daughter of Kent and Katie Gomes, will be a senior at Tulare Western High School. She is a member of the Tulare Future Farmers of America Milk Quality and Dairy Foods team, has served as chapter Sentinel and Parliamentarian, and is a member of the Tulare County Farm Bureau Leadership Program. Eva hopes to attend Cal Poly San Luis Obispo to major in Agricultural Business.
Crowned Alternate Dairy Princess, Juleydy Monje, daughter of Raquel Pineda and Jose Valdovinos, will be a senior at Tulare Western High School. Juleydy has grown up on a dairy farm and is active in the Tulare Future Farmers of America. She is the Tulare Western High School California Scholarship Federation Club Treasurer and is a member of the Tulare County Farm Bureau Youth Leadership Program. Her future plans involve pursuing a degree in Agricultural Business with a minor in Political Science.
Eva and Juleydy’s duties as District 5 Dairy Princess and Alternate include speaking on behalf of the California dairy industry to various audiences throughout the year. As Dairy Princess and Alternate, Eva and Juleydy will attend a professional development training week focused on presentation skills, advocating for the California dairy industry, leadership, and business etiquette.
